‘House Feurstein’ is a semi-detached house in the midst of the Bregenz forest landscape. Building is cladded in vertical strips of knotty spruce wood.
‘House in Nada’ is located in a residential area in the heart of the city of Kobe. Building uses it small plot to its maximum by stacking rooms vertically.
‘Villa Kallioniemi’ is a cottage on the island of Lepäinen in Finland. The architecture is consciously simple, referring to the Finnish building tradition.
‘KAWATE’ is a house located in the city of Gifu. Cantilevered out over the lawn, half of the building is stepped up 1.4m, creating a sheltered alcove beneath.
‘BASE’ is a three-storey building located in Setagaya Ward in Tokyo. It consists of a small office on the first floor and living areas on 2nd and 3rd floor.
‘F-WHITE’ is an independent one-storied residence with a courtyard for a single family. They requested a house with sense of family unity and spaciousness at the same time.
‘Dogsalon in Oita’ is located on a long, thin lot surrounded by rice fields. This combined residence and dog salon has a symbolic shape that turns the building itself into a sign for the business.
‘S HOUSE’ is a residence for three person family in the suburb of Tokyo, with form that is shaped by five different small boxes gathered at random that suppresses the overall scale of the building.
SunnyHills at Minami-Aoyama, designed by Kengo Kuma himself, is in the shape of a bamboo basket. It is built on a joint system called ‘Jiigoku-Gumi’, traditional method used in Japanese wooden architecture.
‘House in Sengataki’ sits on a gentle southern slope, facing roads in the north and east and surrounded by a grove of trees.
‘villa kanousan’ is a weekend cottage situated within the deep mountains area of midland of Bousou Peninsula. The site is located on Kanou Mountain, Kimitsu City.
‘House in Ueda’ is located in the countryside on a site that was a part of a peach and pear orchard.
‘House in Nishimikuni’ is designed for a retired couple, proposing a new style of one storied house, which is located in the center of Osaka City.
‘White Cave House’ is a massive volume with engraved voids interconnected in the shape of a kinked tube. The connection of voids – we call it Cave – is the theme of this house.
